The VCFA MFA in Graphic Design Program Blog

Introducing the 2024 VCFA GD MFA Global Studio Sessions.

December 20, 2023

The VCFA Graphic Design MFA department proudly presents this year’s edition of Global Studio Sessions. In the past, this has been a lecture series inviting a wide-spectrum of creative practitioners from around the world. We’ve had spotlights on Asia, the Global South, and the Middle East. This year, we have curated the programming around the topic of Hangul Typography. With the rising profile of Korean design, there is a growing group of talented designers and curators who are redefining the genius of King Sejong, who invented Hangul in 1443. Our wonderful speakers this year are Kyung Park, Noheul Lee, and Minjoo Ham. The three comprise individuals who are designing Hangul typography and also creating programming to celebrate the typography of Korea.

More specific info of our speakers are below. Please join us for this great event on January 7th 10:00am EST. Register on Zoom here. Hope to see you there!
