Process: Ashley Calicchia

June 14, 2017

This latest process post features work by the amazing VCFA MFA in Graphic Design candidate Ashely Calicchia. Throughout her studies, Ashley has been exploring notions of culture, identity, type, and form. Her latest body of haunting work is largely photography-based—documenting both mortality and the mortality of North American subcultures.

Semester 3 Photograph 1-3: These photos were taken at The Masquerade, located in Atlanta, GA, on the final night it was open as a club venue. The historic location was once an excelsior mill before becoming The Masquerade in the 1980s. Created in my third semester at VCFA.
