VCFA Co-chair Ian Lynam just designed a new English language tourism guide in book and website form for the Japanese National Tourism Organization. The project is called 99+1: Traveling Through Art, Design and Architecture.
Within, 99 major art, design and architecture sites in Japan are broken down geographically by Renna Okubo, Ian’s partner in their new curation-oriented studio Corinthians.
The listings are supplemented by additional listings and superb essays by Editor-in-chief Roland Hagenberg, one of Tokyo’s leading architectural critics and writers. The typography for the book highlights the type design of VCFA faculty Hammer for the logo and headlines.
You can see the responsive website for the project here.
